A short human woman with an astoundingly stout build, Maria carries about her the air of one who isn't afraid to fight for what she wants.  A dockworker at one point, a bar maid at another, she carries about her a strange yet compelling mix of strength and a faint bit of charm that might serve her well. With a pretty, though strong jawed and ash stained face, she's a peculiar flower in the sea of surly peasants.
